Who am I? What do I do?
I’m Beatrice Staples-Gray (she/her), based in Seattle. I work at the intersection of program management, community leadership, and creative practice. My career spans consulting, security operations, data strategy, policy development, and organizational design, with a focus on helping teams and communities function with clarity, intention, and care.
Seattle Roots
Seattle has been home for most of my life, and the region shapes both my work and my art. Its mountains, shorelines, and weather (especially the weather) anchor me. This city’s layered histories and landscapes continue to influence how I think about place, responsibility, and connection.
Professional Path
My professional experience includes roles in program management, team leadership, project delivery, service operations, and nonprofit governance. I’m at my best when helping people navigate complexity - building frameworks, clarifying goals, and supporting teams as they move from idea to execution.
I’ve led cross-functional teams, developed data strategies, guided organizations through structural change, and helped launch a nonprofit from the ground up. A former mentor once described me as a “serial supporter,” which I’ve taken as both a compliment and a calling.
Artistic Practice
Outside of structured work, I create. I photograph the natural and built environments of the Pacific Northwest, and I paint and sketch when I need to think with my hands instead of a keyboard. My creative work isn’t a portfolio so much as an ongoing record of curiosity.
